Emergency services typically refer to firefighters and paramedics. In Australia, we have seen an expansion of this category to include SES, resiliience and disaster response, local government, incident control, rescue, marine response, and more.

CLET specialises in RPL for these emergency services first responders, ensuring that skills and knowledge gained in employment that responds to emergencies and disasters is well recognised.

There are a range of qualification groups that can be assessed for the emergency services group. These include:

  • Emergency Management
  • Leadership and Management
  • Business
  • Work Health and Safety
  • Government
  • Project Management
  • Risk Analysis

What evidence will I need to provide?

Upon completion of the RPL assessment form you will have the opportunity to upload your evidence. For emergency services personnel, we require at a minimum:

  • Service record from your organisation
  • If you do not have a service record, confirmation of employment or exit record
  • If you have been separated from service for more than 5 years, a resume so we can see what you have been doing since you left
  • Any other relevant documentation that you wish us to see or include in the assessment process

This documentation will get the process started and we will contact you if we need anything further. The evidence requirements usually depend upon which qualification is ultimately being sought.

What will it cost me?

The RPL assessment process with CLET is free, so you can explore all your options at no cost. If you are eligible for a qualification via full RPL and choose to proceed, then costs become payable. However, there is no obligation to proceed, so you can see all yoru options without costs.
